Description
Actimaris Wound Gel is made of alkaline ionised seawater with sea salt (3.0 %), sodium hypochlorite NaOCl (0.2 %), active O2 as well as lithium magnesium sodium silicate. Active oxygen, Sodium hypochlorite (NaOCl) and sea salt have an eliminating effect on typical sore pathogens without damaging the tissue. The
decontaminating effect against MRSA/VRE tested positive. The oxidative effect of sodium hypochlorite and hypertonic saline solution are also responsible for the neutralisation of wound odours. The increased salinity of ActiMaris wound gel in turn ensures an optimum hyperosmotic effect so that peri-wound swelling subsides quickly.
