Description
Delictase Lactase Enzyme 30 mg Capsule is a food supplement containing lactase enzyme. A deficiency in lactase (hypolactasia) results in the inability to fully digest lactose. Colonic microflora ferment undigested lactose in the intestinal lumen, which leads to production of short-chain fatty acids, hydrogen, carbon dioxide, and methane. These byproducts cause bloating, flatulence, and abdominal pain. Undigested lactose acidifies the colon and increases the osmotic load, resulting in loose stools and diarrhea. Delictase reduces the lactose content in the milk, breaking down lactose into two simple sugars (glucose and galactose), which can then be easily digested and absorbed by the intestine. Eliminates the cause of maldigestion by providing an exogenous source of lactase, the enzyme necessary for the correct digestion of lactose, allowing children and adults to intake dairy products such as milk, cheese, yogurt.
